It’s important to clarify that our office does not oversee road maintenance. We often receive inquiries regarding road maintenance responsibilities, but as per standard practices, public roads are under the jurisdiction of the government, and it is their responsibility to maintain them.
Our office has neither received a mandate for road maintenance nor established any formal road maintenance agreement between landowners and tenants. Furthermore, road maintenance is not a component included in the lease agreement, and no service fees are charged for this purpose.
To provide context, if there is an interest in private road maintenance, it’s estimated that each tenant would need to contribute approximately ANG 600,- per month to support such a service. Please keep in mind that this is an estimate and may vary depending on specific factors.
